Bird nets can be used for various purposes. For example, you can stretch a bird netting over a pond or fruit trees, but it can also be used to create an aviary. The type of bird netting you need depends, among other things, on the type(s) of birds you want to keep out. To keep herons away from your pond, you can use a bird net with larger meshes, while for your aviary with parakeets, you will prefer a fine-meshed bird net.
Our bird nets are made of polyethylene (PE), a light and sturdy material that is UV-stable and has a long lifespan.
Knotted bird netting
Knotted bird nets are made by knotting ropes together. This creates sturdy nets with a long lifespan. These nets are available in mesh sizes from 15x15mm to 100x100mm. The most common application for these nets is to create an aviary. An aviary is an ideal environment for keeping birds: they can fly around freely, but remain within a protected environment. What's more, bird netting allow you to create a customised aviary, exactly the way you want it. Our knotted bird nets are used by both private individuals and professionals, so whether you keep birds as a hobby or have a bird park, you can come to us.
You can also use our knotted bird nets for your pond or as poultry netting. When you want to use a pond netting, it is important to consider not only the birds you want to keep out, but also the size of your fish. Poultry nets are useful for keeping chickens, turkeys and other poultry safe when they are free to roam.
Knitted bird nets
Knitted bird nets are produced in a different way than knotted bird nets, resulting in knotless bird nets. Because these bird nets have small meshes, they are suitable for use as fruit nets or garden nets in an orchard or in your back garden. This way, even smaller birds cannot get to your fruit. These nets are attractive
in terms of price. However, the lifespan of knitted bird nets is considerably shorter than that of knotted nets. In addition, knitted nets should not be left outside in autumn and winter. Leaves and snow significantly shorten the lifespan of these nets!
Installing bird netting
We have already mentioned a number of applications above, but did you know that bird nets are very easy to install? Most bird nets can be mounted or hung using tie wraps or cable ties. Our bird nets can be made to measure. Ideal! In addition, some of our aviary nets have a border, which makes them even more practical to use: the border makes it easier to tension the net.
