These sandbags are used for a variety of purposes. However, in most cases they are used as a (temporary) barrier against water. Naturally, the sandbags can also be used as ballast or to provide temporary extra weight.
When a sandbag is filled correctly with sand, it weighs between 18 and 22 kg. These PP sandbags are made from a lighter and more fragile fabric than the black PP bags, which means they have a shorter lifespan! The sandbags are UV-stabilised. This partially prevents damage to the material caused by UV radiation. This, too, extends the lifespan of a sandbag.
These sandbags come fitted as standard with a drawstring to tie them shut after filling.
